Perfect day hike by NYC

I know NYC has plenty to do, but if you ever want a day away from the urban life and instead of skyscrapers spend some time surrounded by trees then read on for the perfect place to go. Bear Mountain located in upstate NY is a mountain range with multiple hiking trails throughout it. Some are closer to NYC, others (and one of my favorites I will share about in another post) further upstate and are a longer drive away, which lets you choose how far you want to get away. A great trail to hike which is only about an hour drive up from Manhattan is Antony’s Nose. This is a relatively easy, 30-40 min hike which leads you to a breathtaking view over the Hudson River and Bear Mountain bridge. Just pay close attention to the markers which are white at first and blue as the hike progresses. When we were there they were repainting and many markers were not visible, however, the path is easy to spot so if this is the case when you visit, you should still manage to find which way to go. Check out some of the drone footage we shot from the summit below. Especially now that the leaves will be turning colors, this short trip out of the city will be the perfect destination to take in some beautiful fall views
