Gallow Green, NYC

NYC isn’t short on cute places to eat and hang out but this bar might just be at the top of my list.

Gallow Green is located at 542 W 27th St, attached to the McKinney hotel.
The bar looks like a garden paradise, surrounded by plants from every angle including some growing up over your head. I have an obsession with roof-top gardens, so I was in heaven here.
They also have some really unique decor including train tracks, with beautiful green foliage creating an archway over them (which make a perfect photo op spot) and also an old train cart creating a more private seating area ideal for special occasions or groups.
The food and drinks taste and look amazing.
I highly suggest getting the raw vegetable platter. I know you think that sounds boring but the dipping sauces it comes with are amazing! ( & it’s also the prettiest veggie platter I’ve ever seen.)
Drink wise I personally loved the Gallow Green cocktail which tasted very fresh and balanced.
(the menu does change seasonally, so each time you go there will be something new to try)
Sit here till it gets dark and enjoy the jazz music and beautiful atmosphere.
Before you head out don’t forget to check out the retro phonebooths they have set up right which are near the elevators.
I was just here and I actually loved it so much I’m already planning to go back.
