Scenic hike in the Adirondack mountains

 

One of the most beautiful “local” trips I ever took was to the Adirondacks in late October.

While at lower elevations there was no sign of frost or snow and the leaves were still a dark orange,.the tips of the mountains were covered in icy crystals. It was so beautiful climbing up and seeing everything turn whiter and whiter. If you are in the NE US and crave a long but beautiful hike- definitely check out this region. They have multiple mountains and trails for all levels.
